The 50 years’ history of the Japanese Conference on Calorimetry and Thermal Analysis (JCCTA), the annualmeeting of the Japan Society of Calorimetry and Thermal Analysis (JSCTA), is briefly described on the basis of thestatistics. Some characteristics are pointed out and discussed in relation to its birth and growth while paying attentionson the covered topics.
